Whimsical Rockefeller Bridal Inspiration

Creative LifestyleGina Paulson1 Comment

A couple of years ago, I received an email to do some wedding signs for a bride in Arizona. She was a talented photographer, incredible sweetheart and total babe. She was one of my first big out of state weddings, and she may not even know it, but her trust in me gave me a level of confidence with my business when I needed it. Her wedding then went on to be featured and heavily repinned- and one sign in particular generated a lot of inquiries. So I'll forever have a soft spot for both that bride and her photographer, Alicia, for capturing it. I've kept up with those girls on social media and even though they are states away it seems at times like I actually know them. That is what I love about this industry, the connections can be so unexpected but so great.

Fast forward a couple of years to a few months ago when Alicia reached out to me about a styled shoot in Chicago. I of course jumped on board immediately, postmarked my goods and sent them across the country wishing I was going with them. When I received the images back, I was elated. The photos are gorgeous and I can only imagine how magical it would have been to actually be there! This talented group of vendors met at the Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago. Adorned with walls covered in vines and architecture that takes inspiration from Gothic Revival influences, it was the perfect background to this whimsical and romantic styled shoot.

The invitations were printed on handmade paper with touches to watercolor. Handmade paper naturally gives my writing a bit more of a delicate look to it, a bit whimsical but perfect for this shoot. The table number is on a semi translucent paper giving it a soft elegant feeling. I am so happy I got to be a part of this shoot and you can see and read more about it here:

4th of July Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Happy Fourth of July!

I recently was part of a shoot with some local vendors and wanted to share it with you guys today! This was a Summertime Rustic American Styled Wedding Shoot and we worked with a local florist and a REAL happily married and incredible gorgeous couple for the shoot. It was incredibly laid back, sunny, and fun to be a part of. I got to try my hand at styling for this one, and came up with the tablescape as well as the stationary! (I may have also crafted a last minute flower crown, don't judge me on that baby though! Focus more on the table florals and bouquet that were actually done by an AMAZING florist here in town)

STLYING: For the tables I wanted to incorporate a lot of rustic and old details. They live on this incredible cute barn so I knew red would be a huge color component and I tried to balance that with white and blue vintage dinnerware.

PAPER GOODS: This was meant to be informal and light hearted. The only traditional aspect of it might be the vintage-style airmail RSVP Envelope, other than that the rest is pretty whimsical and fun. We added some watercolor brush strokes, a navy envelope with red paint and a mixture of white calligraphy and handlettering. I loved getting to finish off the invitation with "Fireworks to Follow"
